Since 2018, the Middletown Sustainability Committee “Green Team” has partnered with the Middletown Branch Library, hosting a variety of lectures on many important “Green” topics. As a ‘Sustainable Maryland Community,’ Middletown strives to improve the quality of life in tangible ways.

Wildlife Corridors & Wildlife Habitat Advisors

with Karen Russell &  Deb Portney

Karen Russell of Mobilize Frederick will discuss “Wildlife Corridors in Frederick County,” and the local and global impacts of species loss that are being compounded by climate change. Deb Portney will discuss Wildlife Habitat Advisors, a local group that provides land owners with on-site advice on best practices for native plants & wildlife.
