Since 2018, the Middletown Sustainability Committee “Green Team” has partnered with the Middletown Branch Library, hosting a variety of lectures on many important “Green” topics. As a ‘Sustainable Maryland Community,’ Middletown strives to improve the quality of life in tangible ways.

Food Systems & Feeding Frederick

with Alison Wexler & Sarah McAleavy

Alison Wexler, the Operations Director of the Frederick County Food Council will discuss how to create & maintain a robust and resilient local food system. Sarah McAleavy, manager of the Community Action Food Bank of Frederick, the Community Table, At-Risk Suppers and The Weekend Backpack Program will define her work feeding at risk populations within the Frederick food system.
